How does the timer on an LED candle work?
Most LED candles from TED Lights have a built-in timer function. This is how it works:
Two settings: 4 hours and 8 hours Most models offer a choice of a 4-hour or 8-hour timer. If you set the timer to 8 hours, the candle will automatically burn for 8 hours every day and then turn off by itself.
How do you set the timer? This varies by brand and model, but the common procedure is:
- Turn on the candle using the on/off button
- Press the button again within 2 seconds for the timer (or use the remote control)
- The candle remembers the setting — it will turn on at the same time the next day
Advantages of the timer:
- You'll never forget to turn off the candle again
- Batteries last much longer
- Ideal if you want ambiance in the evening without having to think about it
Please note: The timer works on a 24-hour cycle. If you turn on the candle at 8:00 PM with an 8-hour timer, it will turn off at 4:00 AM and turn on again the next evening at 8:00 PM.
Not all models have the same operation — check the manual or product page of your candle.
