Are LED candles suitable for outdoor use?
Not all LED candles are suitable for outdoor use — but the right ones are. The difference lies in the IP rating: a number that indicates how well a product is protected against moisture and dust.
IP44: protected against splashing water. Suitable for covered outdoor areas such as a veranda, canopy, or outdoor kitchen — not for rain.
IP65: completely dustproof and protected against water jets. Suitable for full outdoor use, even in the rain.
Regular LED candles without an IP rating are for indoor use only.
